Librarians

So, I was asking a librarian about an overdue book.  And, I swore to her I had a series of really good excuses for not returning this book.

She did not believe me (that the excuses were good)

So, next time should I say, "I have had one surgery and 2 weeks of Chemo since then and the book dropped on my priority list.  Thank you for your help."       ???

Since your cancer's days are numbered, I say use it while you can. Hopefully, you will never have a chance to play this particular card again after this summer.

How much is the fine, really? Like 50 cents? Those late fees go to a good cause, like supporting that kind, and understanding woman's salary.

Those people always seem like they are from Mars. I try to converse with them, I get a blank stare. I think all that "quiet" time in the library is starting to get to them.

Matt - you are on to something, in fact, I think you have such a good excuse, you should walk into the library, show them you have the book, but don't return it until they agree to listen to your excuse. Sort of the "in your face" approach.

I mean, it would be completely inappropriate to open up a can on a librarian.
